Program Overview

The Apprenticeship Prep program is designed to prepare you for the trade entrance exam and entry into one of 45 designated trades. The focus of the program is on upgrading, practical trades training, and facilitated work experience.

The program has two semesters:

  • The first semester focuses on essential skills and workplace culture. You will receive instruction in math, science, computers, employability, and practical trades skills, all of which will prepare you to write the Apprenticeship Entrance Exam for levels 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
  • In the second semester, you will participate in a work experience component.

Practicum/Work Experience
This program includes 365 hours of field experience in your chosen trade.
