Program Overview

Aviation Technician - Avionics Maintenance (Co-op) is a two-year Ontario college diploma program. Students will learn about aircraft avionics systems used in general aviation, corporate, charter transport category aircraft, and helicopters. Graduates gain cutting edge electronic system skills and knowledge on aerodynamics, safety, and flight control systems.

With the Transport Canada approved Aviation Technician – Avionics Maintenance program, you’ll learn to become a vital and specialized member of the aviation team. You’ll learn about all aspects of aircraft avionics systems used in general aviation, corporate, charter transport category aircraft, and helicopters. Along with developing cutting-edge computer and electronic systems skills, you’ll also study aerodynamics, safety, and flight control systems. The Aviation Technician - Avionics Maintenance (Co-op) program is a Transport Canada approved program (TC-2011-08-4128) with a co-operative education component. This program provides the knowledge and skills required to start a career in aircraft avionics maintenance, which is responsible for servicing, repair and maintenance of aircraft electrical and electronics systems such as communication, navigation and data systems. This program covers all aspects of aircraft avionics systems used in general aviation, corporate, charter transport category aircraft and helicopters.
