Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Sault College:

International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Students will find comfort in spacious double, single, premium single and barrier free rooms. During your stay, allotted study hours provide a positive learning environment, while added programming offers fun opportunities to meet new people. An endless number of events like ice fishing, paintball, floor hockey, dodge ball, beach days, city wide scavenger hunts and holiday dinners will fill your days with excitement!

Of course laundry, cable and internet come standard. If you want to flex your culinary muscles, Ray Lawson Hall hosts a full kitchen on every floor. Take advantage of one of the study rooms if you need some space to focus. You can also kick back on the couch with your friends for movie night or catch a game on the flat screen TVs located in our common areas.

Off-Campus Housing

Long-Term Housing
Finding off-campus housing can be difficult and time consuming for students. Sault College wants to help make the process as easy as possible for you, so you can focus on studying and all the other things on your to-do list. Students living off-campus should review vacancy availability as soon as possible. We also recommend having a roommate to help ease costs with housing. It is very common to sign at least a one-year lease.

Places4Students
We have recently partnered with Places4Students Inc. to provide an online collection of numerous housing options. Places4Students provides students, schools and landlords with the highest quality, off-campus housing service. The website provides a large real-time database for student housing vacancies in our area, including photos and text, contact information and property features.

The Write Place: The Write Place is a writing tutoring service available to all Sault College students. Language and Communication professors assist with APA, grammar, essays, reports, and much more! Bring your work to The Write Place during our operating hours.
Testing Centre: The Testing Centre offers a variety of testing services to our students and the general public. From Out of Class Testing to Career Testing, we have you covered.
Library & Peer Tutoring: Everyone needs a little help once in a while. If you are a student here and are looking for a peer to study with, the library's peer tutoring service may be able to help.
Student Job Centre: We offer employment services for Sault College postsecondary students and alumni and acts as a the hub for information and resources for all of your employment needs.
Campus Safety: The Sault College Campus Watch Program is a student volunteer program that is aimed to ensure anyone on campus feels safe and comfortable after regular operating hours.
Health Support: The College Health Support Centre offers First Aid/CPR & treatment for minor illness, injuries and emergencies, assessment of illness or injury and much more.
Counselling: Our primary goal in the counselling office is to empower students to set and reach their goals, whatever these goals might be.
I.M. Well: I.M. Well, short for Integrated Mental Wellness, is a program that helps in directing students where they can get help to find answers in a way that works best for them, whether it be on campus, or around the community.

Scholarships

Scholarships, Bursaries And Awards

The Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards program exists to recognize academic achievement and inspire students to pursue their educational goals while reducing financial obstacles along the way.

Full-time students attending Sault College, including our Toronto and Brampton campuses, are eligible to apply for a variety of scholarships, awards, and bursaries. Scholarships are normally awarded on the basis of academic achievement. To be considered for scholarships, a student must be maintaining a minimum 3.0 accumulated GPA. Bursaries are awarded primarily on the basis of financial need. Awards are usually awarded on the basis of both financial need and academic performance. All scholarships and awards are intended to encourage a high standard of academic and personal achievement.

The Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards Application will be available on the Student Portal under "My Records" in October of each year. The application must be completed and submitted no later than the deadline noted. While the College reserves the right to make awards to students who have not applied, no student who has applied may claim any right of consideration by the College. One on-line application for College scholarships, bursaries and awards is usually all that is required for consideration for any available award. However, there are a small number of awards that require additional information to be submitted and will be identified on the online application. Liability will be assumed by the College for the payment of scholarships, bursaries and awards only to the extent that expected gifts from donors or returns from particular investments of endowed funds are realized. Sault College reserves the right to make required changes, including cancellation of some awards.
