Welland Campus
Recognized for its commitment to sustainability and naturalization, the Welland Campus is located in a friendly, residential community in the heart of the Niagara Region.

The campus at a glance

There is plenty to experience at the Welland Campus which has seen a complete overhaul in the past 10 years with expansions, additions and renovations to every section of the facility. The original home of Niagara College (NC), this campus is a leader in sustainable technology and operates state-of-the-art, modern learning environments designed to help students succeed in their education and career training.
This campus houses the schools of Academic, Liberal and Access Studies, Allied Health, Community Services, English Language Studies, Justice and Fitness, Media, Nursing and Personal Support Worker, Part-Time Studies, Technology and Trades (including apprenticeships).

Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Niagara College:

International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Off-Campus Housing
The Off-Campus Living Program offers year-round housing information to students, landlords, and residents in the Niagara Region. The program also provides resources regarding a variety of off-campus living topics, such as finding accommodations, landlord/tenant issues, neighbourhood relations, and much more.

International Housing Options
Are you an International student? Sometimes the best way to introduce yourself to a new country is to experience it through the warmth of a homestay or landing pad. We believe that your host is as important to your experience as your classes.

Homestay: Living with a Canadian family will be a very rewarding experience that you will never forget. Once you have your confirmation of who your homestay family is, you will be able to contact them and begin to develop a lifelong friendship.

Landing Pad: Welcome to the Niagara College Landing Pad. The program is designed to provide International Students with 30 days of safe accommodation. Hosts support students through the provision of a home & two meals per day, while the college offers information and adjustment help.

Scholarships

Exclusive $2,000 CAD Scholarship

All eligible students who apply from within Canada that hold a study permit applying for the Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 term starts will be eligible to automatically receive a $2,000 scholarship applied in the first term of study after Day 10 has passed.
Replaces and renders void any previous entrance scholarship applications
Applied to an academic program and is not able to be combined with any other entrance scholarship offers through Niagara College
Payment of the fees indicated on students’ invoice less the scholarship amount are required to secure the seat in the program
