The University of Regina welcomes approximately 3,000 international students from nearly 100 countries to our main campus in Regina, Saskatchewan. Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to the University of Regina:

International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Housing
The University of Regina and City of Regina have many options for housing. You can live by yourself, with a roommate, in a dormitory, or apartment-style housing. Ensure you arrange your housing accommodations before you arrive so that you have a smooth arrival. Accommodation options are available on campus and off campus. Our Housing Services provides comfortable and modern accommodations on campus at different price points.

Living on Campus
Housing is more than just a place to live — it’s a place to grow into the person you aspire to be. Staying on campus is a choice to be a part of a community whose goal is to help you excel both socially and academically. Everyone has a different educational path, and in Housing we all work together to help each person find the right balance between living and learning!

We have staff available 24 hours a day that are more than happy to help you with any questions or concerns you may have with living on campus. Our staff also hosts a ton of fun events to help you get involved in the community and meet other people living in housing! In addition to that, our buildings have lounge areas that have everything from pool tables, to gaming consoles, to study spaces. We’re always finding new ways to make your stay with us the best it can be!

As well as being your home during your schooling, on-campus housing will also be home to people from many different backgrounds! Housing is a place where a wide variety of people with different interests and perspectives live and learn together. Take the time to share your experiences, ideas, and interests with others while listening to what they have to say as well. It’s a rewarding opportunity to learn about other cultures and backgrounds while sharing your own! Scholarships

INTERNATIONAL ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP - $3,000

All international students applying to an undergraduate degree program will be automatically considered for this award.
Students must have an admission average of at least 85%.
Students receive their choice of either $3,000 in tuition or housing credit.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT OF DISTINCTION SCHOLARSHIP - $80,000 ($20,000 x 4 years)

50 international students with the highest high school averages each term will be awarded free on-campus housing and a meal plan. This award is valued at $80,000 for 4 years; 4.5 years for engineering students.
All international students applying to an undergraduate degree program directly from high school will be automatically considered for this award.
This award is renewable each year as long as students continue to complete 30 credit hours per calendar year and maintain a minimum UGPA of 80%.
