Overview

One of the most affordable universities in the region, University of Windsor offers an array of undergraduate and graduate programs in the field of Law, Business, Engineering, Education, Social Work, Nursing, and Human Kinetics. Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to the University of Windsor:

International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Off-Campus Housing
Students have numerous options for finding accommodation off-campus in nearby areas. Students can have access to studio apartments, paying guest facilities, sharing apartment complexes and many more.

Homestay
Homestays are an integral system of housing for students. Students have the opportunity to avail homestay facilities as per their discretion and choices. Homestay hosts include single people, young couples with children and pets, and older couples. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.

Scholarships

UWindsor Open Entrance Scholarships
International students are automatically considered for the University of Windsor Open Entrance Scholarship ranging from $1,000 - $16,000 provided that the following conditions are met:

Must be coming directly from secondary school studies - the student must have completed a minimum of one term of full-time secondary school studies in the year immediately preceding the academic year that they are applying for.
In the year immediately preceding, the student is not considered to have returned to secondary school studies to upgrade after a year or more break in studies.

While a student may receive an offer of admission, scholarship eligibility is based on final and interim Grade 12 (U and M level equivalent) grades received (between May and July). Once all final grades are received, scholarship eligibility will be reviewed should grades improve sufficient to move in to the next scholarship tier.

Students must register full-time in the academic year immediately following their high school graduation to be considered. Scholarship payment schedule will be adjusted accordingly if a student's start term is deferred to the Winter term. For more information, Click here
